Jack's Tribute Fund

Welcome to Our Families Tribute Fund. We have created this page on behalf of our Dad (Jack McDonald) to help raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association. Our Dad was diagnosed with MND back in 1998 and it was very hard for our Mum and all of the family to watch him deteriorate in front of our eyes. All his life he had been a very fit man, who loved sports especially Football when either playing as a young man or when he managed a local Football Team, he was just Football daft. In later life he still liked to watch Football but he also liked to play Golf, he loved being outdoors. He also loved to listen to music especially Elvis Presley and he was so talented at singing and he would sit for hours and learn his songs. As time went on the hardest thing for our Dad to deal with was that he was never going to get better. The only thing that kept him going was the fact he was a Grandpa and that everyday he was still there he saw that as a plus sign as this was vauleable time for him to spend with his Grandaughter Nicola and his family, (Wife May, daughters Jacqueline and Linda and son-in-laws Jamie and Russell). After a long struggle he suddenly died on 16th May 2002, he was 64 years old. As our Dad's 5th Anniversary approaches, we felt this fitting for a tribute to him and everyone else who has or still is suffering from MND. Even after our Dad's death there is still no cure for this dreadful disease and so much help is required. Please consider making an online donation or send your donation to MND to The Jack McDonald Tribute Fund and help us raise money in our Dad's name. If you like, you can also sign the guest book. Kind Regards, From Jack's Family May, Jacqueline & Jamie, Linda, Russell & Nicola
